Every article starts with a real question readers ask about Korean culture or products. We research from Korean-language sources, verify product names and usage first-hand, and always include the original Korean name so you can find the real thing.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers and affiliate partners. We never accept payment for positive coverage. When an article contains affiliate links, it is clearly disclosed — see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates & corrections

Products and trends change fast. When we materially update an article, we show the updated date at the top. If you spot an error, email contact@whatthekorea.com — verified corrections are applied promptly.

AI assistance

We may use AI tools for drafting and research support. Every published article is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before it goes live.
